We collect information you provide directly and information generated automatically when you use eze alpha.

Account information via Google OAuth: When you sign in using Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture from Google solely to create and manage your account. We do not receive your Google password.

Account information via email: If you register with an email address and password, we store your email address and a secure, hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

Usage data: We collect anonymised information about the features you use (e.g., tickers researched, watchlist activity) to improve the product. This data is not linked to your name or email outside our internal analytics.

Guest sessions: If you access the platform without registering, we assign an anonymous session identifier. No personally identifiable information is collected during guest sessions.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Authentication & security: Your email and identity credentials are used exclusively to verify your identity, maintain your session, and protect your account from unauthorised access.

Personalised research history: If you are a registered user, we associate your saved watchlists, portfolio positions, and previously generated research reports with your account so they persist across sessions and devices.

Product improvement: Aggregated, anonymised usage patterns help us identify which features are valuable and which need improvement. This analysis does not involve your personally identifiable information.

Communications: We may send you transactional emails (e.g., email confirmation, password reset). We will not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

eze alpha uses AI models, including Google Gemini, to generate institutional-grade equity research reports. The following disclosures apply:

Query content: When you request a research report on a ticker, the ticker symbol and relevant market data are sent to the AI model to generate the response. Your personal information — including your name, email address, and account identity — is never included in these requests.

No personal training data: Your identity and personal data are not used to train any publicly available AI or machine learning model, including the models operated by Google or any other third-party provider.

AI disclaimer: All AI-generated content on eze alpha is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, or trading advice.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, under any circumstances.

Service providers: We share minimal necessary data with trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase for database and authentication, Vercel for hosting) strictly to operate the platform. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

Market data: We use Alpha Vantage to retrieve stock price data. Requests to Alpha Vantage contain only ticker symbols and do not include any personal information.

Legal obligations: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority. We will notify you of such requests where legally permitted.

Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users prior to any such transfer.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the service.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Anonymised, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely for product analytics.

eze alpha uses browser cookies and local storage solely for session management and authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

Session cookies: Issued by Supabase to maintain your authenticated session. These are strictly necessary and are deleted when you sign out or they expire.

You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of the platform.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction: Request that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected.

Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data and account. We will action verified deletion requests within 30 days.

Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Withdrawal of consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using a strong, modern algorithm and are never stored in plain text. Database access is restricted to authorised services only.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

eze alpha is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@ezealpha.com and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
